At Heart & Soul family Childcare Center, I make every effort to provide your children with a consistent and comfortable environment. My job is to give children a loving and nurturing childcare setting in which they will learn social, educational, and independence skills, as well as giving the parent peace of mind while you are away at work, school, etc. I work together with the parent and need open communication about your child's development and needs in order to make a successful childcare arrangement. I am always open to consider any suggestions from parents. This is an open-door childcare where parents are welcome to visit us or call us anytime.

In order to keep the children comfortable, a consistent routine works best. They know what comes next during the day and usually adjust very quickly. Please keep in mind that there are many days where the children are sick or just not feeling like themselves, and that these factors, as well as weather conditions, can alter our daily schedule.

I offer the following daily:

freeplay

simple arts / manipulatives

snack

outdoors

music & dancing

lunch

storytime

naptime / quiet time

project time / computer time

Heart & Soul family childcare is run by myself, Melissa Lynn Crowley. I am licensed with the Office for Childcare Services for 8 children. I am the mother of 2 children; one of which is in school full-time and the other attends my childcare program. I have an ample amount of references and experience within the childcare field. I am a graduate of Wheelock College with a social work degree (BSW). I have successfully completed such courses as child growth and development, early childhood education, and child psychology; thus familiar with childhood behaviors, stages, and phases. I also participate in monthly trainings to keep my license and I am CPR and first aid certified.
